These pots are part of a limited edition collaboration between Alec Karros and Wendell Jeffrey. Alec crafted the pottery out of porcelain and Wendell created the cement bases and glaze designs. Alec is a functional potter. His interests in making pots is rooted in three areas, first in their role as our contemporary domestic landscape, second in what they tell us about our social and cultural histories and third in the material and alchemical processes involved in making them. In his free time Alec walks his dogs. Wendell’s interests have been guided by historical, situational and environmental issues. She is keenly invested in process-based work, projects are not confined by material limits, often spanning drawing, painting, printmaking, and ceramics, concrete, wood and are often site- responsive. When not in the studio, Wendell collects trees.
