Students will learn how to create a letterpress postcard and using a vandercook press and a variety of type. General printmaking experience can be helpful, but is not necessary.

Amanda Thackray is a multidisciplinary ecofeminist artist-educator, based in Newark, NJ, who collaborates with biologists, ethnographers, natural/found fibers, and site-specific water, to create tableaus that inspire environmentally-centered conversations. Thackray’s projects have been exhibited at diverse galleries and museums locally and nationally, including The Newark Museum, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, The Montclair Art Museum, The NARS Foundation, and The Knockdown Center.
